He’s definitely Chatworthy 👄

What is your favorite song from your latest releases and why?

Um, my favorite song is the newest one, which is my second one “West Side”.

“What inspired me to create it was kind of just realizing like how I do and don't fit in here in Los Angeles, you know, I come from the south. So there's like a lot of, of like fundamental things that are in my roots that I don't see from a lot of people.

So in a way it's kind of like a dis to like a lot of peeps and I can already tell there's gonna be people looking like left and right. But it's a fun vibe. It's like very Hairy Styles.

I just woke up one day and kind of felt like the black sheep of like my friends at the time and was like, you know what, let me get to of writing.”

Who inspires you as an artist?

“I would say Daniel Caesar within the next couple years, Jegasie is going to be a well seasoned to RnB artist. And he literally gets me going chills down the spine. I can harmonize to any song that he has, and he definitely like keeps me going.”

Jegasie’s music has a soulfulness that spills out into the lyrics which help you connect to the messages within his music.
