Self-Defense Techniques To Protect Yourself From People Like Jeffery Dahmer

Whether or not you’re a fan of psycho-killer documentaries, you’ve probably heard of Jeffery Dahmer. If you haven’t, he's known as the Milwaukee Cannibal and has brutally murdered seventeen males from the years 1978 to 1991.


There have been over twenty documentaries including some by famous actors like Jeremy Renner and Ross Lynch explaining his history. One of which is the newest Netflix show "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" played by Evan Peters.



The first episode of the Netflix show tells the story of how Dahmer gets caught and how his last victim survived and got away, to only come back with the police.


Because of our extreme paranoia, we felt it best to put together a list of self-defense techniques to protect you from people like Jeffery Dahmer.


Prevention Tips:


1. No one should ever have to convince or force you to go ANYWHERE with them. Dahmer went after vulnerable people who he thought could be convinced. He would pressure them to go back to his place or to drink. If you've had bad vibes from someone then never go anywhere alone with them...... like their apartment, hell even their car!


2. WATCH YOUR DRINK. Did your friend tap you on the shoulder to tell you something funny, put your hand on the top of your drink before you turn around! It's extremely sad that this is something we have to go over.... but this can literally mean the difference between you getting home safely or not.


3. Never let someone who hasn't earned your trust, pour your drink while you’re not

We could sit here and say that our ex was a manipulative douche who paired manipulation with antisocial and aggressive behavior, added with a sprinkle of severe hyper fixation.


But, we digress and take what we learned from the experience and sum it up as a sign that this cute new guy at the bar might not be the one you want to hang around. 👀


Most serial killers can come off vulnerable at first, but when their empathy is tested it can come off fake, over the top, or none of the above.


You can take every precaution and follow every tip, but once you’re in a sketchy situation, it might be difficult to get out of it...especially if you’re not a 200-pound man with a black belt in Karate.


How to Use Self-Defense Techniques:


No matter where you're being grabbed, identifying what the weakest points are is key. The groin, the eyes/nose, the side soft part of the stomach, and the knees are those weak points.




Flailing and screaming might work, but if the attacker is significantly bigger than you then it likely won’t do much. While making as much noise as possible to attract potential bystanders, can be a strategy, putting your life in the hands of other coward-like strangers is not recommended.


Using either your elbow, knee, or fist–whatever is not being held back–to hit the weak spots as mentioned before is probably going to be your best bet. TIME TO PUT ON YOUR BIG PANTIES GIRL!
